Ochre

Joanna Bibby and Harriet Maxwell Macdonald met at an art school in London. Both full of ideas, but yet being independant enough to inspire each other, they started a small design company named „Ochre“, debuting at the 100% Design in London 1996. Their underlying principles one still recognises in all their designs: understated elegance, high quality materials and flawless craftsmanship. Solenne de la Fouchardiere crossed their path and became the third partner and fellow designer four years later. 

 

In less than two decades, they have established a reputation in the industry among leading international interior designers and architects. With projects in private residences, exclusive hotels and restaurants. Ochre still operates from their first home base in London and since 2006 from a second one in New York.

 

You will find Ochre in all our projects as they are the epitome of sophistication. Ochre pieces are of such pure beauty, making them timeless, contemporary and elegant at the same time. I call them modern collectables as they are something to fall in love with and never get tired of.
